Pfeil Beveled Edge Chisel, 8mm, 5/16"

This 8mm (5/16") Beveled Edge Chisel from Pfeil is crafted using the same technology and attention to detail that have made Pfeil carving tools famous the world over. Pfeil uses only the finest Swiss alloy tool steel. The blade is heat treated individually, using the latest technology, and is expertly ground on all sides with a 25° main bevel on the cutting edge. The Elm handle was chosen for beauty and features an octagonal and slightly ovoid shape for improved control and comfort. However, there is something different about this Beveled Edge Chisel! The side bevel is swept back towards the centerline as opposed to being parallel. This design permits the blade being used in some pretty tight places, such as cleaning up dovetails, plus we think it just plain looks good while also being functional. This marriage of Old-World craftsmanship and modern technology, plus the legendary Swiss attention to detail, may have created the world’s best bench chisel.
